‘Damages’ trippy new promo
Check out the latest tv promo for the next season of “Damages”:
FX Network just announced that the second season premieres on January 7th (10pm/9pm EST). Besides the obvious return of Glenn Close as duplicitous Patty Hewes and Rose Byrne as the now vengeful Ellen Parsons, there are a slew of new characters for the new season. We’ve got Timothy Olyphant (hotness!), Marcia Gay Harden, and Mario Van Peeples just to name a few. I’m pretty stoked for the new season since it ended on such a cliffhanger.
However, I’m not sure if the new promo will win any new fans by its contents alone. It’s a bit flashy, sorta like “Nip/Tuck” as TV Squad points out. And oh boy, do I not want another show to jump the shark like “Nip/Tuck”! That show became the shark! But back to “Damages”, I think the second season has a good outlook, fresh story line and new relevant to the plot characters. Plus, those Emmy awards can’t hurt either.
Catch up on season one of “Damages” on dvd before the January premiere. Otherwise, you’ll seriously have no idea what’s going on. There are way too many double-crosses, blackmailing schemes, and secret alliances to be adequately represented on this here blog.

Remake Frenzy: Thursday Series premieres
“Kath & Kim” with Molly Shannon and Selma Blair. A US version of the Austrialian series (haven’t they figured out they usually don’t work out?) - 8:30/7:30 on NBC
The original Las Vegas version of “CSI” premieres at 9pm followed by the premiere of “Eleventh Hour” with Rufus Sewell in the role originally played by Patrick Stewart on the BBC version.
On ABC, after new episodes of “Ugly Betty” and “Grey’s Anatomy”, we’ve got the series premiere of David E. Kelley’s take on the original BBC show “Life on Mars”. This remake wins the award of the stuffing as many talented film actors as possible into one show (after firing 90% of the actors from the original pilot) to make it look good: Harvey Keitel, Michael Imperioli, Gretchen Mol, Lisa Bonet, and Jason O’Mara as the time-traveling cop Sam Tyler.
If you haven’t visited ABC today, check out the 1970s computer terminal re-design they put up in honor of the new show. Or if you’re lazy, just look at the screenshot on TV Squad. Watch the “Life on Mars” promo below to get the gist of the show.
I have no idea how I’m gonna watch (or even DVR record) all these shows tonight!

‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’: Round 4
Block out your 10 o’clock hour tonight because season four of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” premieres!

“Day Man…fighter of the Night Man” kills me every time!
The gang is back and ready to push the envelope once again with their self-deprecating, absurdist humor. Don’t know of the wonders to which I speak? You could do two things: check out my hyperbole filled post praising this television show or just rent the “Always Sunny” dvds to find out for yourself.
